Our Favourite 3 Walking Trails

Bryce’s Flat, the Blowhole & Breakneck Gorge

The Bryce’s Flat, Blowhole, and Breakneck Gorge walking track is a must-do for all hiking enthusiasts who want to experience a short taste of the 210km Goldfields Track. This experience is perfect for local explorers and offers a wide variety and view of the scenic bushland, flora, and fauna, and the promise of native wildlife encounters.

Starting off in Bryce’s Flat, simply follow the clear and well-positioned signs to the Blowhole across Sailors Creek and up the main track. Stop at the Blowhole, which is a diversion tunnel created in the late 1800s on Sailors Creek, designed to help gold rush era miners expose the gold in the water. It received its name rightfully so, as after heavy rainfall, it appears to shoot water. A narrow track along the Great Dividing Trail leads to Breakneck Gorge. Stay on the walking tracks to avoid mineshafts.
